WIN IT: Diva Divine Multi Makeup Palette

WIN IT!
I don't think this is the greatest picture of Senna Cosmetic's Diva Divine Multi Makeup Palette ($52). In reality, it's much brighter and more sparkly. This palette includes one highlighter in inspiration (pale pink champagne), a blush duo in mademoiselle (bright pink and peach, could double for Stila's Beachy Keen Cheek Duo), 3 eye colors in tempest (pale taupe), Lyric (medium brown) and seduction (aubergine) and 3 lip sticks in geisha (red with gold shimmer), debutante (creamy rose) and enchantress (deep gold). A dual ended lip brush and liner brush (the perfect size), small face brush and eye shadow brush plus a giant mirror round out the palette (4" x 4 1/2").

WIN IT!

For my last post before the new year (I need a little bit of a vacation- who doesn't), tell me what famous makeup artist belongs to this mouth. I'll pick a name from the correct answers on the 1st of January.

Thanks for reading!

Review: Tocca Candele Da Viaggio

Tocca, a brand known for its romantic and light dresses, is now also known for its fragrance and candle line. I love big, beautiful candles (when my cats don't knock them off my dresser) but I also love all things mini. I was delighted to try the Candle Da Viaggio ($42)- A boxed set of four travel size candles (1.2 oz) in Cleopatra, Grace, Havana and Kyoto with a signature Tocca matchbox.

-Cleopatra: A blend of cucumber and grapefruit. Perfect for the bathroom, underscoring Cleopatra's indulgence for her milk baths. Other notes include- green notes, cassis bud, jasmine peach tuberose, patchouli, amber, vanilla and musk

-Grace: The pure essence of the Casablanca lily, the roman symbol of hope, is inspired by the classic elegance of Grace Kelly.

-Havana: A sweet yet spicy mix of sugarcane and rum, inspired by the Cuban capital.

-Kyoto: A delicate fruity-floral, apricot-like aroma from the Kinmokusei plant's tiny gold-orange petals.

These mini candles are super cute and you have to adore the matching matches! Great for traveling and great as a gift.

Today ONLY: FREE DELUXE TRAVEL PACK (with your order of $25 or more)
at Murad.com. Use code Deluxe07 at checkout. Includes mini energizing pomegranate body wash, firm and tone serum, essential-c eye cream, acne body wash and intensive wrinkle reducer.

Review: Tarte We Wish You Health Skinvigorating Gift Set

Tarte's limited-edition We Wish You Health Skinvigorating Gift Set has been marked down from $38 to $30. Includes:

mini clean slate™ face primer
• Silicone-based formula contains natural ingredients to help keep skin fresh and healthy
• Avocado oil and safflower seed oil to moisturize
• Echinacea, rosemary & hibiscus extracts to soothe
• Mineral oil free an phthalate free
• Dermatologist tested

I have the full sized version of this primer and it's great. It smooths and hides imperfections plus it makes your face makeup stay on much longer. This is perfect for traveling.

mini lock & roll creaseless eyeshadow duo (shade: slate)
• Vitamin E enriched cream shadow glides on eyelids smoothly and evenly
• Finely milled crushed mica in the powder shadow adds luminosity and creates depth and dimension to eyes
• Mineral oil free and phthalate free
• Dermatologist tested

This didn't look very good on me. But layering the cream shadow and the powder shadows leaves a really beautiful finish that lasts.

mini lights, camera, lashes! 4-in-1 mascara
• Lengthening: Rice bran, carnauba & candelilla wax extend the length of lashes
• Curling: Synthetic film formers hold in curl
• Volumizing: ProVitamin B5 treats and thickens lashes
• Conditioning: Organic compounds derived from natural olive esters coat and treat lashes to protect against breakage
• Mineral oil free and phthalate free
• Dermatologist tested

The brush on this mini mascara made my lashes super long and thick. 3 coats minimum. Great for carting around in my mini makeup bag in my purse. My friends were impressed with the purple packaging.

mini Inside out vitamin-infused lipgloss powered by BORBA (new shade: serenity)
• Acai extract helps strengthen capillary walls, reduce epidermal irritation and enhance skin’s clarity and radiance
• Grape seed extract & Vitamin C help accelerate production of natural elastin, protecting skin against free-radical damage & restore skin’s clarity
• Vitamins A & E act as antioxidants to give you that healthy glow
• Chamomile extract soothes skin and helps to counteract redness
• Mineral oil free and phthalate free
• Dermatologist tested

Neat idea, though it seemed like a very nice bright cherry sparkling gloss that tastes yummy and isn't sticky at all. I really like this gloss and might have to try it in other colors.

Marc Jacobs Best Buys

We all know of my love for Marc Jacobs (but who doesn't love Marc Jacobs??) so check out these amazing bargains:

-Beauty By Marc Set ($71 value for $50 @ Sephora) Take your gardenia to go- with a 1 oz Eau de Parfum Spray, a 1.7 oz Body Lotion and a Miniature Lip Compact containing a red lip gloss and lip pencil (exclusive to this set) in a black and white gardenia print gift box. So first of all, a MJ lip gloss? That excites me to no end. And I will admit that I love the gift boxes too- they are very sturdy, great for holding all my extra makeup, while looking lovely stacked next to my desk.

-Daisy Deluxe Gift Set ($75 value for $60 @ Sephora, online only)- a 1.7 fl oz Eau de Toilette Spray, a 2.5 oz Luminous Body Lotion and a 2.5 oz Shower Gel in a signature gift box. This makes me kind of wish I'd waited to buy this instead of when I bought this.

-MJ at Marshalls, where they have makeup too (did anyone know of this? because it's news to me) but they also have loads and loads of every fragrance you could want. I spotted the $90 Marc Jacobs Gift Set (including a 1.7 oz. eau de parfum, a 5.1 oz. body lotion and a .13 oz perfume) that my boyfriend bought me last year for $30. That's right, $30. I almost caved just because it was such an amazing bargain, but sadly I didn't have the money. If I go back and they still have it, I will probably buy it.

Review: Senna Cosmetics

Senna Cosmetics was founded by celebrity makeup artist and brow master, Eugenia Weston. She custom creates all the colors to flatter all skin types, colors and makeup attitudes.

-Mineral Mix Pressed Foundation Duo ($30)- Mineral makeup that contains 2 colors for summer through winter. The two shades make custom blending a snap. This is a very soft, medium coverage foundation. For more coverage I use the puff that comes underneath the powder.

-Double Dose Lip Lacquer ($22)- A lush, vanilla flavored, moisturizing gloss duo. Sugar & Spice (apricot champagne and coral pink) is a great duo. The coral pink looks very natural and the apricot champagne gives lips a golden shimmer.

-Pearl Glow Lip Lacquer ($18)- A pearly metallic, vanilla flavored gloss. I tried Rosebud- a sheer light pink rose. It looked a little bit purple to me, but when applied it turns lips a pretty pink color. Stays on and has a tackier feel, like MAC Lipglass.

-Sun and Sand Bronze Duo ($35)- One sheer matte bronzing powder and one shimmering golden bronze powder to create the richest tan ever.

-Sparkling Eye Color ($16)- Glamorous sparkling pigments make eyes come alive. Also flattering for mature skin. I used Sugar (new, sparkle sprinkled warm ivory) with the Classic Fluff 18 Brush ($15) and that allowed me to color my entire lid with soft, diffused color.

-Double Effect Creamline Powder Duo ($20)- One half rich metallic eye lining cream, one half harmonizing metallic eye powder. Line using the Creamline 9 Eyeliner Brush ($15) and finish with a layer of powder for a velvety budge free line. This is the tiniest eyeliner brush ever, it's amazing. Perfect for getting in the inner corners of eyes. I tried this in Ember Magic (bronzed metallic brown), it provides a natural look if applied lightly and a more dramatic one if you pile it on.

-Form-A-Brow Kit ($42)- The original brow stencil kit contains a mirrored compact with 3 brow powder colors, 2 mini brow brushes and 4 brow shaping stencils (in fine, natural, full and x-tra full.) Instructions are easy to follow and results can be spectacular. Available in Neutral, Blonde/Redhead, Ash Blonde, Dark and Salt and Pepper.

-Base Buffer 22 ($20)- A wide, rounded brush that's soft enough to buff all around your face to make the powders meld with the skin.

Don't miss out on this amazing line! Check out the website for some great gifts, plus- come back to Face Candy to win a Diva Divine Multi Makeup Palette in the upcoming weeks before Christmas.

Maybe play Santa this year by picking up one of these sets and giving one of the items to your mom, grandmom, best friend, etc. These sets do double duty.

A totally nude, ultra-sheer base that glides on and disappears. The ultimate eye prep for smoother, longer-lasting, crease-free eyeshadow. Did I ever mention that I LOVE this stuff? It never ceases to amaze me. If you haven't tried it, I suggest picking it up.

-Dior 'Double the Diorshow' Beauty Pouch Set ($46)- Full-sizes of Dior's famous mascaras: Unlimited and Diorshow in a classic red Dior Pouchette.

Lancome Color Fever Lipstick

Color Fever Lipstick ($24)- delivers luminous, vibrant color. Light-maximinizing pigments use light as a prism to bring you the most intense, lasting shine. A long wearing, hydrating lipstick with color that stays true without feathering or fading.

I tried Red and Sensual Java (a bright, pinky red) and Fashion Crave Framboise (a purpley mauve). I finally found a red lipstick that I like! This red is a warmer red, but it's also soft enough to look like a stain if applied lightly. I like the finish of these lipsticks because they aren't super-shiny like Color Fever Shine Lipsticks. I don't know why, but I dislike gloss over lipstick. If I'm wearing lipstick I want it to be creamy, rich and long-lasting. Fashion Crave Framboise was surprisingly wearable, providing a natural looking wash of color. While this is not my "holy grail" lipstick, it's a definite "top pick" and comes as a close second to Estee Lauder's Signature Lipstick.

  • Body Butter($)- A creamy, rich moisturizer that absorbs quickly into dry skin. I tried Almond Cocoa, which is light and very gently scented. Smells kind of like a cookie. Available in Mint Green Tea, Lavender Vanilla, Banana Shea, Ginger Lemon, Almond Cocoa, Lemon Verbena and Chamomile Rose.
  • Body Scrub ($)- A uniquely formulated body scrub full of natural and finely ground exfoliates. Mint Green Tea smells fresh and is a jelly like consistency.
