Review: Philosophy Raspberry Sorbet Lip Gloss

Philosophy's Raspberry Sorbet Lip Gloss ($10, only at Sephora) was inspired by the popular Raspberry Sorbet 3-in-1 Shower gel. I spotted this lil tube over at Sephora when I was in NYC and clearly had to buy it. This is a very thick and sticky gloss, which I like, because it stays on your lips for a lot longer than most glosses. Tiny pieces of sparkle exfoliate and glisten on lips. Plus who doesn't love the pretty pink color and yummy raspberry smell? Love it!

Review: Elizabeth Arden INTERVENE Makeup SPF 15

Elizabeth Arden's INTERVENE Makeup SPF 15 ($36) is a seriously incredible liquid foundation that contains Biodormin technology. Who even knows what Biodormin technology is, but I do know that this micro-mineral pigment technology smooths away imperfections for brighter, even toned skin that delivers all day coverage. Studies show that this extract has the ability to slow the visible effects of sun, stress and environmental factors and delay the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

When they say this stuff lasts all day, they aren't lying. I suggest using a foundation brush to apply, so you don't get too much on. A little bit goes a long way! If you're new to foundation, this is the perfect place to start. Soft Beige was the one that matched my skin perfectly, but with 12 wearable shades, you're bound to find one that suits you.

To use, on cleansed face, apply a generous layer to slightly dampened skin in a circular motion to release heat. Leave on for 5 minutes. Wet fingertips and massage into face for 30 seconds using circular motions, and concentrating where skin is dry or pores are clogged. Rinse well with lukewarm water. Use once per week and follow with your usual skincare regimen.

Avoid eye and lip area.

Oil-free. Non-acnegenic. Ophthalmologist/Dermatologist-tested. No fragrance. I don't use this phrase very frequently, but this stuff is the shit. Say goodbye to flaky skin. I use a washcloth for extra exfoliation. Love the way it heats up on your skin. A must-have for the makeup bag.

Review: Lancome Pixel Pink Lipstick

Lancome's Color Fever Shine Pixel Pink Lipstick ($25) is the fourth and final lipstick in the Pout-a-Porter series. It was created by Gucci Westman and fashion designer Thakoon Panichgul. Thakoon's Spring 2008 collection was inspired by a young, modern Japanese woman who leaves her life behind and escapes to Hawaii.

I ordered this the day it became available. The sheer raspberry pink melts into your lips and provides a pretty, glossy, natural look. I highly recommend this for everyone. More to follow!
