-Refined Golden- Finely spun golden with soft pearl finish
-Solar Riche- Mid-tone deep orange brown

Comparison: Schick Showdown

The Schick Quattro For Women Razor ($9.19) comes with 2 refill cartridges, has 2 conditioning strips enriched with Vitamin E and Aloe, a compact pivoting head to follow all your contours, 4 ultra-thin blades for a close, smooth shave, and a sleek metal handle for precise control that features a comfortable rubber grip.

This razor got around my knees and ankles beautifully, without missing any spots or cutting me. For someone who usually just uses her fiancee's razor to shave, it seems girly but functional. I'll keep it around. Note: If you get those annoying little red bumps when you shave, just exfoliate your legs beforehand.

A couple weeks ago, when I was at David's Bridal, buying my wedding dress, I was given a Schick Intuition Plus ($8.99.) The razor with 3 blades is surrounded by a Cucumber Melon skin conditioning solid. It claims to lather, shave and provide refreshing moisture in one easy step.

While it seems like a nice idea to be able to lather and shave at the same time, it's not really the same. The smell is fine, but I don't like the bulkiness and the fact that it's harder to get areas like knees.

Winner: Schick Quattro hands down.

Review: Thymes Wild Ginger Foaming Bath Envelope

I recently reviewed Thymes Wild Ginger Foaming Bath Envelope ($6). Pour these fragrant salts into your bathtub and enjoy an effervescent ginger scent, balanced with cucumber, vanilla, Tahitian lime and Moro orange. Also contains honey, organic red clover and Vitamin E. For $6, this is a lovely spa-like treatment. Leaves skin feeling soft and silky. Available in lots of different flavors.

Fashion Trend: Gladiator Sandals

1. Kate Moss looking so chic. I love this look. Love the LBD paired with the belt and shoes. Gotta love the sunglasses too. Note: The ankle straps will cut off your feet, causing you to look shorter. That's why I like gladiator's with a heel.

2. Gwyneth Paltrow over the weekend in Cannes. I'm not sure where she got the black/rope ones, but the gold pair are by Balmain.

3. I got to experience the comfortable quality of these Kenneth Cole Reaction Women's Know It All Gladiator Sandals ($79.95.) I am a size 5 1/2 which is generally pretty hard to find, and they start at a 6, so I decided to try a 6. They are a teeny bit big, but I think these shoes run small. It fit me and is extremely comfortable.
Ask anyone, when I walk around in my heels, I'm usually keeling over in pain, but no blisters, no rubbing, nothing.

Here's the details: Made for the confident woman who loves to be the center of attention, this sexy and elegant sandal features a stunning gladiator-inspired, strappy style that is sure to make you feel like a legend in your own time. The mix of glossy and smooth materials and a high, leg-flattering heel beautifully finishes things off. Heel measures 3 1/4". They are available at Endless.com, a shoe and handbag heaven. Bella Sugar Questionnaire

Which beauty products are your must-haves? I'm love Stila's Convertible Color Eyeliners. I carry those in my purse (one in Teak and one in Stone), I love that there's a shadow, pencil and smudger all in one. La Mer foundation is my HG, MAC's Mineralize Skinfinish Powder, Senna Cosmetics Sun & Sand Bronzer Duo, Bobbi Brown's Shimmer Brick in Pink Quartz, MAC Barbie Beauty Powder, NARS Orgasm Multiple, Maybelline Define-A-Brow, 3 Custom Colorists Brow Powder, Rosebud Salve, oh too many to list.

What’s your favorite beauty ritual? Creating a fresh, even palette on the face. Prepping the face with moisturizer and primer, then layering with foundation, concealer and powder.

What’s your go-to lip product? Rosebud Salve and Burt's Beeswax Lip Balm for conditioning. I like Hourglass' lip liner/brush in Voice, Estee Lauder's Signature Lipstick, Stila Lip Gloss, Philosophy Raspberry Sorbet Gloss and Tarte's Inside Out Lip Gloss.

What is your morning beauty routine? This is sad... but this is exactly how is goes:

1. Begrudgingly roll out of bed or sofa.

2. Glance at peaceful, sleeping fiance.

3. Throw myself into shower.

4. Apply deodorant and face cream w/ SPF 30+. If there's time, smooth on a tinted moisturizer (favorites are La Mer the Fluid Tint and DuWop Revolution Face) and light dusting of MAC Mineralize SkinFinish.

5. Clothes.

6. Head to lightrail.

7. Apply the rest of my makeup waiting for train, on train or at work. But most days, I go... ::GASP:: BARE FACED.

What’s your signature fragrance? Marc Jacobs Gardenia, Marc Jacobs Daisy and Issey Miyake's L'Eau D'Issey.

What’s the best beauty advice you’ve ever received? Wear sunscreen EVERY SINGLE SOLITARY DAY OF YOUR LIFE; Use a hand cream with SPF, Exfoliate, and Don't go crazy on too many dark colors around the eyes, it will only make them appear smaller. OH, and for more natural looking eyebrows, use a brow powder (but never black).

And the worst advice? Curl eyelashes AFTER applying mascara. This causes serious breakage, plus it gets your curler all mascara-gunky.

Any tips or tricks you want to share with readers? My smoky eye trick for Asian girls is to apply a dark shade close to lash lines and blend it up so you can still see it when you open your eyes. Then take your finger or brush, and blend it up higher at the outer corner of your eye. That helps bring the eye up at the edge.

Your favorite drugstore beauty product? Dove, St. Ives, Neutrogena.

When do you feel the most beautiful? Believe it or not, but when I'm wearing a full face of makeup and pretty jewelry.

Review: Bobbi Brown Almost Bare Eau de Parfum

I was super excited when I received the newest scent from Bobbi Brown. Like obnoxious squealing, jumping up and down excited (and I hadn't even smelled it yet.)

Almost Bare ($60) is a fresh floral fragrance that features a delicate balance of inspiring Italian Bergamot blended with Violet Leaves to relax and soothe the senses. The scent is enhanced by a note of Soft Muguet and gentle Jasmine Petals with a Soft Cedar and Warm Amber background. I was completely unsurprised when I fell in love with it. It's delightfully fresh and light, perfect for Summer. It's my new go-to fragrance. All I can say is, do your nose a favor by allowing it to take a whiff.

New Collection: Vincent Longo - Shimmer, Glimmer and Shine

Vincent Longo has a new collection! It's called Shimmer, Glimmer and Shine. Here's a rundown of the new products! Some are available at Sephora (but temporarily out of stock) and Vincentlongo.com (but temporarily out of stock.) Seems like this one's all ready a hit to all you makeup mavens.

-Hydro Stick ($25)- A new technology that uses mostly water, leaves the skin feeling cool, refreshed and naturally tanned. Feels wet when applied, but when it dries, the color stays put. It's important to keep the cap closed on this one, otherwise it might dry out. Top to bottom: Luna Bronze (shimmering copper wheat), Aqualily (shimmering mauve rose), Rosewood Dawn (shimmering golden peach) and Gold Solare (shimmering golden bronze.)

-Gelli Gloss ($15)- A playful, subtly chic lip gloss treat for lips. A sheer veil of delicate color creates luscious, glossy "kiss me now" lips. Water resistant formula provides smooth, even shine. Top to bottom: Vita (red), Vela (pink), Aria (apricot.)

-Liquid Shadow ($24)- A waterproof liquid shadow with vibrant color that imparts a long wearing satin finish. Will not crease. Simply apply using the applicator and blend. Viola!
Top to bottom: Liquid Desire (shimmering golden peach), Cream Flesh (shimmering sandy beige), Supple Rose (shimmering warm pink) and Bronze Shell (shimmering copper penny.)

Review: Philosophy - Gratitude Pomegranate Lip Gelato

Philosophy's new, limited edition, Only at Sephora, Lip Gelato Trio ($25) contains 3 lip gelatos that provide immediate hydrating benefits, are lightweight, non-sticky and provide a natural, transparent shine for fuller, more voluptuous looking lips. Includes Pomegranate, Grapefruit and Tangerine. Quite the deal.

I recently tried Philosophy's Gratitude Pomegranate Lip Gelato ($10.) Rich in tocotrienol, tocopherol and sun-flower seed oil, this pomegranate scented and flavored gloss is a juicy treat for lips. Plus it plumps 'em up in case you don't all ready have a full pout. This one is not as good as the Raspberry Sorbet Gloss, IMO, maybe because it has sparkles and none of the Lip Gelatos are sparkly. I give it props for its shine and staying power. Available in: Gratitude Pomegranate, Soul Mates Grapefruit, Begin Again Tangerine, You Are My Sunshine Lemonade and Let Go, Let Love Lime.

Review: Maybelline Define-A-Brow

When I spotted Maybelline's Define-A-Brow ($6.95) I was intrigued and decided I'd try it. It's a micro-mechanical pencil that delivers precise application for evenly defined brows. The smear-proof formula wears all-day, and convenient all-in-one tool includes a comb to seamlessly blend color for a natural look. It's awesome! Great quality for a steal. I used dark brown and it doubles as an eyeliner. I had this in my purse, but now I can't find it and I'm kind of freaking out. But... I guess if I have to, I can just shell out the $7 for a new one. I highly recommend this.

  • Blends easily with brow hair
  • Waterproof for all day wear
  • Safe for sensitive eyes
  • Contact lens safe and ophthalmologist tested
For Best Results:
Swivel up one full turn to expose point.
Step 1: Fill-in brows with Define-A-Brow Pencil using thin, hair-like strokes
Step 2: Blend color and groom brows with comb

Available in 6 colors: Black, Dark Brown, Medium Brown, Light Brown, Dark Blonde and Light Blonde.

Review: Estee Lauder (3)

-Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair ($46.50)- I had heard the rave reviews of this "miracle product" and rather tentatively purchased it. It is for every woman, every night. This serum helps visibly repair the appearance of past damage and protects your skin's future. Heightens your skin's natural repair response. Protects the future by neutralizing up to 90% of environmentally generated free radicals before they can cause skin to look prematurely aged, because it's environmental damage- not time- that can cause 80% of the visible signs of aging. Delivers high levels of nature's "moisture magnet", hyaluronic acid, to lock in moisture. Apply every night after cleansing and before moisturizing. I've been using this for the past couple months, and regardless of whether it dramatically alters the appearance of my skin, I'm hooked. I will say that I've had a decrease in pimples/ blemishes and my skin feels smoother overall.

-Estee Lauder Idealist Pore Minimizing Skin Refinisher ($46.50)- It's as if you're seeing the skin you were born with all over again: Virtually pore-less. Unbelievably soft and smooth. Incredibly clear and even-toned. Idealist's revolutionary Pore Diminishing Technology makes enlarged pores look virtually invisible by treating their appearances from the inside out. Immediately, it begins to dissolve away pore-clogging debris. Dead skin cells are continuously cleared away. Fades the look of dark spots and discoloration over time. Use before moisturizer. This stuff, used in conjunction with the Idealist Micro-D Deep Thermal Refinisher will seriously change your life. It's INCREDIBLE. You've never seen your skin so tight and smooth. Very highly recommended.

-Estee Lauder DayWear Plus Multi Protection Anti-Oxidant Creme SPF 15 for Normal/Combination Skin ($38)- Take action against environmental aging with DayWear Plus. The enhanced blend of eight ultra potent anti-oxidants includes pure White Tea, rare South African Red Tea, Grape Seed and a new Estee Lauder breakthrough: a supercharged combination of Vitamins C and E. White Birch and Eukarion re-energizes skin's own defenses.
The skin is protected with UVA/UVB sunscreen that's ultra gentle so you can wear it at night. I love the fresh cucumber scent and light weight of the creme. I used up my sample of this and want to go get more, ASAP, but ouch on the $38 for something I need to wear daily. I'm currently wondering if I really need it or not.

Review: NARS Orgasm (3!)

-NARS The Multiple in Orgasm ($37)- A creamy. multipurpose stick in the gorgeous Orgasm color. This is very heavily filled with gold glitter. I sweep a bit higher up than usual onto my cheeks and blend. It instantly brightens your face.

-NARS Orgasm Lip Gloss and Nail Polish Gift Set (limited edition, only at Sephora, $40 value, for $30)- I was all over this baby as soon as I laid eyes on it. The peachy-pink with gold shimmer has been a cult favorite for some time now. I like the gloss, it's thick and shimmery. The nail polish looks nice on, my only complaint would be that it peels off pretty easily. Don't be fooled by the heavily lighted Sephora pictures, in reality the color is a couple shades deeper.

Overall, I really like the Multiple and the Lip Gloss. The Nail Polish, I could do without. Now I just have to get my hands on that Dolce Vita Lip Pencil...

I tried Embrace (copper red shimmer, pictured above), it looks rather dark in the tube, but when you apply it, it's the perfect, sheer, muted red with gold shimmer. For me, this is the Holy Grail lipstick shade that is "my lips, one or two shades deeper"+super shine. It's just enough to brighten my face. To apply, I use a lip balm (Burt's Bees Original) then layer the lipstick on my lips about 3 times, then use my pinkie finger to rub it in so there's no harsh line. I love it and am interested in trying more shades.

-Trace Lip Liner ($28)- A mechanical lip liner pencil on one end and a brush on the other for blending or applying lipstick or gloss. The liner itself is very smooth and non-drying like some. I used Voice (coral rose.) When its used to line and fill in lips, it provides a great base for the lipstick to hold onto. Coral Rose is a fantastic neutral shade for everyone. The packaging is a tiny bit shorter and lighter than other liners. Great for your purse.

-Calligraphy Liquid Eye Liner ($32)- A moisturizing, water- and smudge- proof felt-tip liquid liner. Formulated with Pearl Protein and a botanical blend of Chamomile, Aloe, Rosemary and Perilla extract to condition and nourish the eyes. Provides all-day staying power and never streaks, smears or transfers. I love the design of this liner, the tip is very thin for precision, but it gets fatter, which is good for a thicker line. Like any liquid liner, it takes practice to get the hang of. I don't recommend applying layers, something weird happens and it starts to rub off. At least let the layers dry in between coats if you do. I like Cognac (dark brown) a lot for lining underneath my eyes. A good high-end choice if you have the $ to spare.

Brand New From Tarte!

-Enbrightenmint BriteSmile Whitener & Tarte Lipgloss- One side is a Super fruit-infused lip gloss and the other is BriteSmile's tooth-whitening formula for easy on the go application. I got this a week ago and it's pretty cool. Just paint with the white side on your teeth, it's kind of a thick gel-like formula that sticks to your teeth. Then flip it over to freshen up your gloss. Radiant Red is a great, heavily pigmented gloss. Available in Radiant Red and Pearly Pink. It's yet to be seen if my teeth will get any whiter.

-Spring Fever Kit ($92 value, for $40, online only [Sephora], limited edition)- This set includes a mini Blushing Bride Cheek Stain, a mini Spring Fever SPF 15 Lip Sheer, a Waterlilies Eyeliner, a Eyeshadow Duo in North Island and a double-ended eyeshadow brush.

-4 Day Stay Lash Stain ($18)- A revolutionary lash stain that envelops lashes in long-lasting pigment while keeping them soft and flexible. It's formulated with PolyFlex technology: cross-polymers are blended with mineral pigments and then treated with ProVitamin B5 to create a binding tint. It keeps your lashes looking fresh without fading or flaking. Synthetic dye-, mineral oil-, petro-chemical, phthalate-, sulfate-, and fragrance-free. Available in Rich Black.

-Inside Out Vitamin Lip Gloss ($21)- This vitamin-infused lip gloss, infused with BORBA's nutraceutical blend, has a yummy pomegranate-scent. I kind of imagine that BORBA Aqua-less Crystalline stuff (it looks like Kool Aid) mixed in the gloss. I have tried the Aqua-less Crystalline and it's very tasty. All of the 6 shades are great, my favorites are 40 Winks (sheer golden peachy pink) and Apple-A-Day (iridescent raspberry rose sheen.) The glitter in Apple-A-Day is really shimmery and pretty. I love the big, sleek tubes too. I think I have 2 in my purse, right now.

Review: St. Ives Elements Olive Cleanser

I picked up the St. Ives Elements Olive Cleanser ($7.99) at the grocery store a couple weeks ago. I think I expected it to be an actual oil, but it's not. It's a regular foaming cleanser that contains olive oil. It deep cleans to gently remove dirt and makeup and helps maintain skin's moisture balance. Good quality for a reasonable price. I like it. My fiancee likes it. We'll keep it around.
