This is quite the predicament to be in. In a worst case scenario, I say buy both. Then you've got the best of both worlds. However, if I was forced to choose, I'd have to say I'd go for the Lancome. Spending $36 at Lancome isn't hard. For the super bargain shopper, know that you could buy a bottle of say EL Pleasures for $28.50, you'd save $7.50. Plus I like the makeup cases better than the Lancome (I have 2 of the same exact design from them.) But you get more full-sized products with Lancome, and I covet Bi-Facil. Who can complain with a full sized Magnascopic Mascara and Bi-Facil? I'm definitely very tempted to buy this (regardless of the fact I told myself I wouldn't buy anymore makeup or body products until MAC's Hello Kitty Collection in February.) The photographer we used was Cappy Jackson, she is often shooting the Baltimore Ravens at games. I felt that a lot of the pictures of other people were very staged and boring. I wish there had been some actual candids.

I really loved "Red" She Said, because I collect red lipstick. Why? Because why not? I know that with my coloring I'm "supposed" to wear warm reds, but I like to wear both. Creamy and looks awesome with Love Alert Dazzleglass over it.

I LOVE Dazzleglass. I had never really tried them before now. I actually got a Blue Comet Dazzleglass when they first debuted, but I never even put it on. I got Sugarrimmed, which adds really pretty vanilla sparkle with a nude lipstick underneath. I'm constantly attracted to pink lip glosses, so I also got Baby Sparks, a cotton-candy pink and Love Alert, a bright raspberry. I like these better than the traditional Lipglass, because they are thicker and stay on longer. I regret not purchasing Miss Dynamite.

Review: Philosophy Spicy Pear Cobbler Shampoo, Shower Gel & Bubble Bath

I haven't really had a whole lot of experience in the body wash department, I usually stick to the same one for a really long time. So in an effort to expand my knowledge of the subject, I picked up Philosophy's Spicy Pear Cobbler Shampoo, Shower Gel & Bubble Bath ($16.) I have to admit that my original preference was L'Occitane's Amande Shower Oil but alas, both Sephora and L'Occitane.com were out of it. And after that it was Philosophy's Orange Cranberry, but that's out too, so I sorta settled for Pear. I'm kind of skeptical of food flavored body washes but these don't linger after your shower is over. It's just a lovely smelling shower treat that gets you clean. I'm quite happy with it, now I want the lip shine!

Review: Tocca Florence Solid Perfume

I have been trying a lot of new fragrances lately, and it's really fun! My perfume tray is becoming overloaded and I like it. I recently tried Tocca's Florence Solid Fragrance ($30, online at Sephora.) Florence is scented with the sophisticated essence of the old European garden rose known as Centifolias or "cabbage" rose. Bred in the 16th and 17th centuries by the Dutch, Centifolias are noted for their highly fragrant blossoms. In the Florence collection, Tocca combines this delicate flower with iris root to anchor the scent. It is a soft floral scent that creates a subtle yet distinct aroma. I love that it's so purse friendly and cute.

Notes: Bergamot, Grapefruit, Orris Iris, Violet, Blonde Woods, Skin Musk 2000.

Style: Sophisticated. Romantic. Feminine.

My husband and I liked this one the best. It's very sweet and fruity.

Beachy
Palm Beach isn’t just a place; it’s a state of mind. Escape to the beach no matter the season and remind yourself of a time of fun and relaxation. Beachy opens with notes of sliced watermelon, sunny citrus and marine air accord. The heart enchants with jasmine blossom, tiare flower and lush frangipani. The sun sets on the fragrance with a blend of sea crystals, golden amber and sweet vanilla. Follow the sun! This one reminds me of Giorgio Armani. It's very strong. My husband said it smelled like "old lady" though not in a good or bad way. I mean I can imagine my mom wearing it and liking it. The scent is nice, a tad overwhelming in my opinion, but I don't know if the name is accurate. It's not beachy to me.

Review: Tarte Purse Your Lips Limited Edition Lipgloss Clutch ($106 Value)

Tarte's Purse Your Lips Limited Edition Lipgloss Clutch ($106 Value, for $39)- 9 limited edition lip shades infused with the t5 super fruit complex. That works out to be around $4.30/gloss. I like the fact that they're mini, but it really sucks that they're all limited edition shades. So if you like 'em, get 'em now, while you still can. None of them are labelled with names, so your guess is as good as mine on that one, but they're all smooth and pretty on. Perfect for holiday gifting. I gave my bridesmaids full-sized tubes of this gloss and they loved 'em so chances are they'll be receiving some more! The small purpley/gold clutch fits much more than the glosses, so it can double as a purse.

Review: DDF Protect and Correct

DDF Protect and Correct UV Moisturizer SPF 15 ($58)- A facial moisturizer with a Micro-Radiance Complex that diminishes the look of discoloration for even, translucent, healthy looking skin. Contains SPF 15 to protect from UVA/UVB damage and future hyperpigmentation.

I have noticed that over the years I've developed some tiny brown spots along the bridge of my nose and cheeks. I'm not usually very good at always wearing sunscreen. So I'm paying for it now. I was pretty excited to use this. It's a little stickier than I like but it has no real smell, which is good. I started using it in the end of the summer and thought it was too heavy, so I'm going to try again now when the weather gets colder. Overall it dries nicely with no funny feel and moisturizes. I can't say if it actually helps with making the brown spots disappear. They look about the same to me. I like it as a daily moisturizer in the morning, and I like the packaging, it's sturdy and smooth, but $58 is pretty pricey.

Face Candy Fall Fashion 2008

It's no secret that I love a bargain. It's unfortunate that I have such high-end taste. No, that just means it makes the hunt for a good deal more fun. I recently invested in a pair of Gucci Oversized Sunglasses from Overstock.com. I actually think that Overstock is an awesome place to get sunglasses, they have tons of designer brands for much less. I believe mine were around $300 and I got them for $150. My husband likes to make fun of me and call me a bug when I wear them, but I don't care. I won't be getting any crows feet!

Besides purses, sunglasses and makeup, one of my favorite obsessions is SHOES! This month I needed a lot of things, so spending over $50/pair was out of the question. I usually like to go to TJ Maxx or Marshalls, but sometimes finding size 5 or 5 1/2 is really difficult. It's hit or miss. So after I hit up Nordstrom's Rack (unsuccessfully), I stopped at Payless, where I took advantage of their BOGO offer. I picked up the Tripp Tailored Boot ($37.99) for work and the Airwalk Sand Pine Boots ($24.99) for snowy weather.

I ALSO needed a new winter coat. Somehow my old one from J. Crew disappeared mysteriously. I hit up Victoria's Secret online for this Double-Breasted Peacoat ($109.) I chose Camel, the same color as the model is wearing. The sleeves are a little too long, so I have to make an appointment with my tailor to have them shortened. I LOVE my tailor. I'd walk around looking like a little girl in women's clothes if it wasn't for him. Altering is totally worth it, it makes you look "finished." The coat is soft and warm, my only complaint is the fake pockets. I see no point in fake pockets. They just don't make any sense to me. I'm constantly reaching in there- only to find nothing.
